The dot-red Ultra Pure Air Generator produces in large quantities laboratory grade purified air for the most accurate and convenient calibration of testing equipment. Designed with safety and convenience in mind, this system will generate purified air eliminating the need for inconvenient high-pressure gas cylinders. The Ultra Pure Air Generator will remove CO to less than 0.05ppm and HC pollutants to less than 0.1 ppm, and NOx contaminants to less than 0.05 ppm. Carbon dioxide is also removed to about 5 ppm level. The typical flows are between 1.5 NL/min and 30 NL/min.

The dot-red Ultra Pure Air Generators do not require external compressed air supply.

Working principle:

The internal pump will compress the ambient air. Once compressed, the air is cooled and dried by an automatic coalescent filter. Air is passed into a stainless steel, dual column pressure swing adsorption air dryer to remove water vapor and carbon dioxide from the supply. While one of the dryer columns is active, the other is regenerating by back purging with excess air.

The adsorbed water and carbon dioxide are vented to atmosphere in this process. A solenoid valve automatically switches the air supply to the newly regenerated column when this process is complete. Air is next channeled into a stainless steel catalyst chamber where any background hydrocarbons or carbon monoxide are oxidized. This chamber is filled with a highly efficient platinum catalyst, heated to very high temperatures to insure hydrocarbon removal to less than 0.1 ppm. A final high-grade filter is used to remove 99.99% of particulates greater than 0.5 microns in size. The compressor stops once the tank has reached it s upper pressure level and starts again, once the tank has reached its lower pressure level.

The Ultra Pure Air Generator is mainly used to feed the Flame of GC with hydrocarbon free Air. By using the Ultra Pure Air Generator, the base line of the GC will be very low and stable, giving you the best possible accurate measurement. The Ultra Pure Air Generator can also be used to perform the Zero of Total Hydrocarbon Analysers. Due to its high filtration level, it can also be used in Total Sulfur and Total Organic Compounds (TOC) analysis. It’s also the ideal accessory to feed in pure air the Cal-G calibration system.
